WASHable team member, Prof Kenneth Anchang Yongabi, was awarded on the 6th of October 2020, the prestigious Gold Medal Award from the Cameroon Academy of Sciences.
Prof Yongabi received the award of the Marc Bopelet Gold Medal for distinguished contributions to biological sciences, with special reference to the impact of his research focusing on African traditional medical systems, phyto-medicine, water and sanitation and bio-engineering and for translating research findings to problem solving endeavours, to provide immunity against viral infections (including COVID-19) via patented products.
